What this privacy notice covers

This privacy notice explains how hscriminallaw.co.uk (referred to as "we", "us" or "our") collects, uses and protects personal information when you visit this independent review portal about LuckyWave. We are not affiliated with the operator itself – this notice concerns only the data we handle through this informational site, not what the operator collects once you register or play on its own platform.

Who controls your data

hscriminallaw.co.uk is the data controller for any personal information collected through this site. We operate under UK data protection law, including the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. You can reach us at [email protected] with questions about how we handle your information.

Information we collect

We gather two categories of data when you use this site.

Technical data arrives automatically: your IP address, browser type, device information, pages you view, and how long you spend reading them. This comes from standard web server logs and cookies – small text files your browser stores when you visit. We use this to understand which sections are most helpful and to spot technical problems.

Contact information reaches us only when you choose to send it. If you email [email protected] with a question about our content, we receive whatever you include in that message – typically your email address and the question itself. We never ask for payment details, identity documents or account credentials through this portal.

What we do not collect

We have no access to your LuckyWave player account, deposit history, game activity or withdrawal records. Those belong to the operator's own systems. Any question about account data needs to go directly to the platform's support team, not to us.

How we use your information

Technical data helps us keep the site running smoothly and improve the experience for UK readers. We analyse which pages get the most traffic, how people navigate between sections, and where visitors arrive from. This shapes decisions about what to cover in more depth.

Contact information exists solely to answer the query you sent. If you ask about a bonus term we explained or request clarification on a withdrawal limit, we respond to that email and keep the thread for reference in case you follow up. We don't add you to marketing lists or share your address with third parties for promotional purposes.

Lawful basis for processing

Under UK GDPR, every use of personal data needs a legal ground. Ours are:

  • Legitimate interests – analysing site traffic and fixing technical issues lets us run a better information resource, and that benefit outweighs any minimal privacy impact from processing anonymised usage logs.
  • Consent – when you email us, you're agreeing we can read and respond to that message. Analytics and advertising cookies require your active consent through the banner that appears on your first visit.

Sharing with third parties

We work with a small number of service providers who handle data on our behalf.

Analytics platforms (such as Google Analytics) receive anonymised usage statistics so we can see which content performs well. Your IP address is masked before it leaves our server, and we've disabled any data-sharing features that would let those providers use your information for their own advertising.

Hosting and infrastructure providers store the site's files and serve pages to your browser. They can see server logs in the course of keeping things online, but they're contractually prohibited from using that data for anything beyond operating the service.

Advertising networks may set cookies if you consent to marketing cookies through our banner. These track which pages you view so they can show relevant ads elsewhere on the web. You control this entirely through the cookie preferences link in the footer.

We never sell personal information to data brokers, and we never hand over contact details to the operator or any other gambling platform.

Your rights under UK data protection law

UK GDPR gives you several enforceable rights over your personal data. Here's what each one means in practice on this site.

Access

You can ask what information we hold about you. In most cases that will be server logs showing pages you visited (retained for 90 days) and any email correspondence (kept until you ask us to delete it). We'll provide a copy within one month of your request.

Rectification

If we've recorded something incorrectly – say, we misspelled your email address in our reply – you can ask us to fix it. This matters less for anonymised logs and more for any ongoing conversation where accuracy counts.

Erasure

You can request deletion of your personal data when there's no legal reason for us to keep it. An email thread from six months ago about a bonus question? We'll remove it. Server logs older than our retention period? They're deleted automatically anyway. We may need to keep certain records where required by law, but we'll explain if that exception applies.

Restriction of processing

If you contest the accuracy of data we hold, or you've objected to processing while we consider your case, you can ask us to stop using that information (other than simply storing it) until the issue is resolved.

Data portability

Where we process your information based on consent or contract, and we do so by automated means, you can request a copy in a structured, commonly used format – typically JSON or CSV. Given the limited data we collect, this right won't often be relevant here, but it exists if you need it.

Objection

You can object to processing based on legitimate interests. If we can't show compelling grounds that override your rights, we'll stop. In practice, this might mean switching off analytics tracking for your visits or removing you from any aggregated reports.

Where we rely on your consent – primarily for analytics and advertising cookies – you can withdraw it at any time through the cookie settings link in the footer. Withdrawing consent doesn't invalidate anything we did before you withdrew it, but it stops further processing immediately.

Exercising your rights

Send any request to [email protected] with "Data Rights Request" in the subject line. Include enough detail for us to locate your information – the email address you used to contact us, or the approximate date range of your visits if you're asking about logs. We'll respond within one month and explain what we've done.

If you're not satisfied with how we've handled your request, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's independent data protection regulator. Visit ico.org.uk or call their helpline on 0303 123 1113 for guidance on lodging a complaint.

How long we keep your data

Technical logs are retained for 90 days, then automatically deleted. Email correspondence stays on our server until you request removal or until three years have passed with no further contact – whichever comes first. Cookie data persists according to the lifespan of each cookie type, which you can review in our cookie policy.

International transfers

Our hosting infrastructure sits within the UK and the European Economic Area. Some analytics and advertising tools route data through servers in other countries, including the United States. Where that happens, we rely on adequacy decisions, standard contractual clauses or other UK GDPR-approved mechanisms to ensure your information remains protected to UK standards.

Protecting visitors under 18

This portal covers gambling, an activity restricted to adults aged 18 and over (18+). We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under that age. If we discover that someone under 18 has sent us personal data, we'll delete it immediately. Parents concerned that a minor has contacted us should email [email protected] so we can act quickly.

Changes to this privacy notice

We review this document periodically and update it when our practices change or when data protection law evolves. Any significant change – such as adding a new third-party service or altering our legal basis for processing – will be flagged at the top of this page with a revision date. For minor wording clarifications, we update the date below without additional notice.
